Cannabis infused Oreo muffins are simple and fun to make. The entire recipe can be put together in about an hour. The mix is simple, but the taste is superb. The skittle & Oreos are what make it so fantastic. Believe me, this is a snack that your stoner friends will love.
You can use vanilla Oreo cookies when making this recipe; although, I like the chocolate much better than the vanilla . I find about 12 cookies is perfect. If you use less, the cookies get lost in the muffin; if you use any more, you will lose the integrity of your muffin. About 25 minutes is the perfect baking time. To test if the muffins are done, simply insert a toothpick into the center of the muffin.
If it comes out clean, the muffins are done. I try to use homogenized milk as it gives the Oreo muffins more body. Try and use a fairly good quality sour cream such as Beatrice, as well.
Some of the cheaper sour creams have a gross after taste to them. Lastly, don’t overfill the muffin cups. If you fill them too full, you’ll end up with a rather sloppy looking mushroom muffin.
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 3/4 cup of homogenized milk (or any milk)
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup of sour cream
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp of unsalted cannabutter, melted
- 12 Oreo cookies, chopped
I’d feel a little guilty eating these for breakfast, but they make a great sugary snack. The inside is full of little bits of chocolate cookie and cream from the infused Oreos.
